Charles Rennie Mackintosh, 'All in One' architect


Charles Rennie Mackintosh(1868~ 1928, Scotland) was an architect, furniture designer and also painter.
Normally he is categorized as an Art Nouveau architects with Antonio Gaudi and Victor Horta.
But also he is considered by many, to be the founder of 'modernist' architects.

His the most famous feature was that he designed everything in his building.
For instance interior, windows, doors, furnitures, lights, even paintings and stained glass.

- The use of symbolic rose and woman design
- The use of simple straight lines 
- Inspiration of traditional Scottish masonry and Japanese crafts
